WHO WE ARE
Gavin Ford
Adaptive Sports Ambassador
As a 15-year-old Junior at Northeast Metropolitan Technical School, Gavin studies Drafting and Design, with the goal of being an arcitect one day. "I want to build a world that is accessible to everyone, so they don't ever have to feel how I often do." Born with Spina Bifida, Gavin enjoys life on wheels and all of the realities that come along with doing so. He is an accomplished adaptive sports athlete, playing sled hockey, wheelchair basketball and lacrosse, also being the only player in a wheelchair to ever play for North Reading Little League Majors. Gavin's grit and perseverence is matched only by his commitment to being part of the solution. Ordinarily, a slightly reserved introvert, Gavin's willingness to share while being very honest and vulnerable has repeatedly proven to be extremely impactful for those fortunate to be present.
Gavin is the youngest of five and the very proud uncle of Rayne. When not traveling extensively for sports, he loves spending time with his furry best friend, Tripp, and relishes playing board and yard games with his extremely competitive family and friends.
